Creekside Kids is Hiring an Infant/Toddler Teacher Near Park, UT

Duties:

  • Lesson Planning
    •  Turned in 1 month in advance on the first Monday of each month.
    • Daily and weekly plans that outline all activities for the day. 
    • Preparing and having all daily lesson plans ready and set for the day prior to its start
    • Lesson plans must be available for substitutes if/when an employee is not there.
    • Must incorporate required areas based on the curriculum maps provided (outline)
  • Monthly calendar and newsletters turned in with your lesson plans and handed out to parents by the 1st of every month.
  • Classroom physical organization into centers (Dramatic play, Science/Sensory, Math/Manipulatives, Language/Literacy, Art, Blocks, Library/Quiet Corner, Circle time area) that are open all day every day
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization (inside and out of cupboards, fold and locks, shelves, cubbies, lockers and all areas of your classroom and lockers - including your outdoor patios and playgrounds)
  • Keep track of inventory (All materials, furniture and supplies)
  • Maintain inventory in like new condition (repair and maintain as needed)
    • Notify when supplies are low
    • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of all teacher and common areas
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment (indoors and outdoors - includes all common areas, walkways, parking lots etc.)
  • Follow and adhere to all licensing guidelines and company policies
  • Know the ratio and head count of your students at every moment of every day
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings each month
  • Maintain a portfolio for each student that represents their learning and activities throughout the year
  • Must maintain a score of 6 or higher in the ITERS/ECERS/SAERS
  • Perform cleaning duties of common areas (kitchen, halls, walks, patios, playgrounds, bathrooms, fruit prep etc.)
  • Must maintain a flawless licensing record in your classroom
  • Perform routine safety check and fill out safety checklists
  • Perform vehicle checklists prior to and after use
  • Coordinate, plan and organize field trips, special classroom events, parent involvement
  • Must participate in all extra-curricular activities; maintaining order regardless of whether you are leading the activity
  • Communicate with parents in a positive, professional manner that accentuates the positive in everything and maintain company policy regarding parent communication/interaction outside of school
  • Keep directors and owners aware of EVERYTHING going on in your classroom and with the parents and students (no detail is too small)
  • Maintain required records (diaper, feeding, toileting, assessments, portfolios etc.)
  • Perform parent/teacher conferences 2-3x per year
  • Ensure classroom is clean and organized, and set-up for the next day prior to leaving at the end of every day
  • Diapers/Potty Training and assisting all of the children with self-care and hygiene
  • Ensure that each student receives snack and lunch and that meals are in compliance with licensing rules and care is given to ensure proper containers are returned to their owners
  • Make sure all adults (volunteers, caregivers, staff members and visitors) are aware of allergies, no photos and no directory students and families
  • Launder all soft toys, rags, mops weekly and more often if needed
  • Must be committed to regular outdoor physical activities (2-3 times per day)
  • Must complete at least 20 hours of ongoing training per year

This list is not exhaustive but does represent much of what you will be responsible for daily.
